OSI: Betrayal

The Heart of a Man

and a little boy is gathering
the shiny ones,
and off to the side there's a marble
a different color and shape
from the others,
and he thinks to himself,
"I'll get that one later,"
because his hands are full, you see,
but another boy comes along
and takes just that one.
Only then
does the first boy realize
his mistake.

You offer a glimpse at the notion of betrayal through a completely unique lens. I appreciate the use of one thing to symbolize another, as well as the subtle manner with which you share perspective.
