Convenience Food

I'm against it. It's expensive. However, I'm here all alone and I'm just not all that into cooking without an audience.

Tai Pei makes the best frozen egg rolls and pot stickers. However, I just tried the sweet and sour chicken, and it was disappointing. Very little chicken and a lot of rice. I can make rice myself very easily. I want my frozen Chinese food to have more actual meat and vegetables. I don't suppose there is really anything authentic about sweet and sour chicken anyway, but the sauce didn't taste that good to me, and I really like the sauces that come with the egg rolls and pot stickers. Just letting you know, in case you care.

I have found that most convenience food of the ethnic variety leaves quite a bit to be desired. I'm not a fan.

I'd rather make my own rice, which is easy and even I can do. Then I'll steam up some Birdseye frozen veggies, mix it up with the rice, and top it off with either Soy or teriyake sauce. That works for me.

well, that does sound okay and healthier for sure. I like the frozen egg rolls but they aren't good for me at all. Like you said, rice is easy to make.
