Coalition

"Nick Clegg and I are both political leaders that want to put aside party differences and work hard for the common good and for the national interest." -David Cameron.

It's clear to me that I don't have a clue about British politics, but doesn't it seem like it would be nice to hear that sentence out of a politician's mouth here at home... and have it backed up by action on both sides? I'm so sick of how the system we have kicks out the moderates and props up the deep divide we have. Coalition: that's a pretty word.

It would be nice, but don't let the pretty accent of those words deceive you. Brits are as cut throat about their politics as Americans. Cheers Marilyn!!

It is. I am tired of the greedy fools out there who get in the way of progress. Thanks for saying it, friend.

Well, I do remember that the word bipartisan is always bandied about during election years. But when it gets down to brass tacks, it's much tougher to carry out a bipartisan agenda.

Matt: I'm sure that's true. Also, they don't seem to be happy about the way the prime minister is chosen.

Sandy: Me too.

Travis: Anybody who actually acts bipartisan gets thrown out next election, so it's easy to see why they won't do it... people seem to want this divide.
