Dear Church,
Our disappointment in you for not protecting children has nothing to do with our disappointment in you over all of your other policies, including but not limited to abortion, birth control, same-sex marriage, divorce, and women as priests. It's a whole new disappointment and not a smear campaign of any kind. You care about families? You should have protected their most vulnerable members.

Well said. I couldn't agree more. And yet we don't convert to something else. I wonder why that is?
Actually, I've been thinking about converting to something else for a long time. I can't bring myself to go to church anymore knowing I'm not really welcome and I miss the community. It's just that the community I miss isn't in another church.
