Random Stuff

I know of one man that has read the Twilight Series and liked it. Are there others out there? I loved it but I can't imagine my husband, dad, or brother willingly reading it.

Neglecting my blog has caused my Entrecard advertisement price to plummet even further. Act now and get a deal! Andy won't be home again for a long, long time. I can't promise entertaining content, but I can promise random daily posts about nothing in particular.

Nano is going to be a stretch this year because I didn't write a thing on it the whole time Andy was home. I think I can still make it though. The story is going to be at least 100,000 words long, which means that even after I finish Nano I'll have another 50,000 words to write before the rough draft is done. It's enough to make a person apoplectic. It means that even after all this work I'm only a little less than 1/4 of the way to the end. I still have lots of plot left, I'm just low on admiration for the thing.

My husband read twilight - well the whole series, I just call it twilight but meant the whole thing - anyway. the fifth time I put breaking dawn down, becuase I read it and then read it and then read it again, five times in a month- hubs picked up Twilight before I could (again).

He was highly entertained by the series and is looking forward to seeing the motion picture. He did, however, absolutely HATE Jacob, which i found distressing as I was rather fond of him.

I think that hubs only read the series to see what all the fuss was about after hearing me laugh or cry or tell him this and that about the different stories as I read them.

I honestly do NOT think he thought he would like the series as much as he did.

Hubby isn't even going to be home for Christmas? I hope he gets to be home for Christmas.

Have a great day. Big hug. :)

Blue: My husband doesn't like science fiction, fantasy, or love stories, so there's no way he'll read it. My other male relatives, who do like science fiction and fantasy would be put off by the love story.

Jacob kind of got on my nerves too, but he's a very realistic character. I know guys just like him... you know, except for the werewolf part.

Sandee: The new job and his mother's dislike of me are making Christmas kind of difficult. I will get to see him around Christmas some time but I'm spending the holiday with my family in Kansas. It will be less stressful for both of us that way. It's sad. I would have liked to go to Midnight Mass with him.

Some day we'll all be living under the same roof again and things will be better.

I know MO read it... Is that the man you were referring to... I just read the book and other ones are staring at me... yikes now it's movie time...

Callie: Yeah. Mo is the only Guy I know, if you don't count Mr. Blue, that has read it. I just heard a movie review on NPR and they made it sound pretty good... even though the reviewer was a man. It IS a romance, but it's the best romance I've read in a very long time.

my impression is the 10-15 year old boys are reading it some. My daughters half brother turns 12 today...he and his friends are going to the movie.

I think The Teamster will read it on vacation next month. He is not a big reader...but I got his mom and sisters reading it...

although he WILL be seeing the movie tomorrow afternoon.... laughing....

no kidding - that sucks about christmas. Jasmine will be with you?

I must admit that I don't have any interest in the Twilight series.

Good luck on getting to your 50k words. I gave up very early on mine.
