One of the commentators tonight on the news said that what happened tonight is amazing. He noted that he is blown away at how far we've come in just his lifetime.
When he was little, blacks and whites were segregated. In his lifetime. And now, we've made history.
He did it and so did we. (As a smart man once said.)
Even though I'm Canadian, I'm so impressed, I'm impressed my son got to see something so historic, even if he won't know what it means until he's older.
I do have to say, I'm a little happier we share a border... :)
