Kid Walker

I have a friend that walks my kid for me once a week. Doesn't that sound awful?

Jasmine and I try to get out for a walk in the mornings but we don't always. My Friend is a summer person here. She only lives here in the summer. Since her other home is in Arizona she likes the cooler temperatures here and since she's retired she has a little more time than I do. This works out really well for me because once a week I get an hour or two alone.

Trust me, an hour or two alone is a wonderful thing. I love Jasmine and I love that I get to spend a lot of time with her but she needs a lot of attention and it's nice to be able to work and/or veg in front of the computer without having to stop every two minutes to answer a school related question or try and get her back on task.

I spend a lot of time trying to get her back on task. We are required to do a certain amount of school every day (four hours, but we do five). This leads to time wasting behavior where she has spent the full allotted time on a task and written two sentences. I hate that. I'm going to make her start counting her words.

Anyway, right now I'm cutting vinyl and intermittently cruising the internet in silence. It's sooo nice.
